The Commerce Bank of Washington, a division of Zions Bancorporation, is currently seeking an experienced professional to fill a Middle Office Loan Manager position in Seattle, WA. 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Middle Office Loan Manager will do the following:

 

  • Directly and through subordinates, manages a middle office loan operations department and front line loan staff
  • Establishes and maintains processes and procedures to ensure quality customer service, servicing, processing and disbursements
  • Serves as liaison with Loan Operations
  • Manages the queue and assigns due diligence and closing tasks to middle office loan closers
  • May handles any overflow of queues and clears any existing work backlogs
  • Assists the middle office loan closers, client relationship associates and relationship managers to troubleshoot issues
  • Provides training on the system to staff as needed
  • Provides technical support and guidance
  • Implements and maintains ongoing monitoring of individual and departmental productivity measures
  • Ensures staffing levels needs are met
  • May oversee or handle directly more complex or unique transactions. Administers Bank policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Recommends improved processes and implements department policies, procedures and systems
  • Maintains working relationships with branch staff, lending officers and credit administrators
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree and 4+ yrs of loan processing, loan operations and credit analysis or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements
  • Management or supervisory experience required
  • Requires a considerable working knowledge of lending operations, processing, documentation, credit analysis, loan processes and procedures, laws and regulations
  • Requires an working knowledge of related fields including banking, lending, credit administration and the ability to apply that information to the current role
  • Strong analysis and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with lenders, management and administrative staff
  • Must have solid leadership and management capabilities and be goal oriented
  • Strong organizational, project management and communication skills, both verbal and written
