Manage and coordinates the daily loan recovery, collection, grading activities and assigning new charge off loans for all affiliate banks. Coordinate with legal, policy and compliance, credit risk and other business areas to maintain compliance with regulations and overall credit risk strategy. Manages outside collection agency (charge off) loan portfolios. Ensures the loan recovery groups productivity is within accepted standards and that laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures are followed. Assist in developing strategies to maximize recoveries. Identify risks and notifies management in a timely manner and recommends additional actions as necessary. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks, as well as using a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Responsible to hire, fire and complete performance appraisals for employees. Other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's in business, finance or related field and 2+ years in collections, loan recovery, grading, charge offs, collection management, banking or other directly related experience. Some supervisor/management experience required. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications. Working knowledge of credit and collection practices, principles, applications, methods, loan recovery, grading, charge offs, collection management, bankruptcies, charge off accounts, loan workouts/loan modifications. Working knowledge of laws, policies and regulatory requirements specific to collections. Ability to do the work of the group. Ability to deal effectively with clients, management and branch/department staff in various job capacities. Solid analytical, problem solving and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have good supervisory or management skills. Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards. Ability to lead a group.
